Compliance and Technology Charge (C&TC)

The C&TC reflects the ongoing investment required to support the delivery of our services in an increasingly complex regulatory and technological environment. This includes the costs associated with compliance, licensing, supervision, and the technology platforms and systems that enable us to provide efficient, secure, and high-quality services.

 What does the C&TC cover?

The C&TC contributes to the cost of:

  • Regulatory compliance and supervision
Meeting growing legislative, regulatory, licensing, and professional oversight requirements applicable to our services.
  • Technology platforms and digital tools
The use of proprietary and third-party software, cloud platforms, analytics tools, and digital systems that support service delivery, reporting, and compliance.
  • Invoicing and engagement management systems
Systems used for time recording, engagement management, invoice generation, reporting, and VAT or tax compliance, all of which require ongoing maintenance, licensing, and support.
  • Automation and digital enhancements
Investment in automation, data analytics, document management, secure client portals, and digital collaboration tools that improve efficiency, accuracy, and service quality.

Why is this charge applied?

The increasing cost, complexity, and level of investment required in compliance and technology has made such charges standard practice across the profession. The C&TC allows us to continue investing in these areas while maintaining the quality, reliability, and compliance of the services we provide to our clients.

If you have any questions regarding the application of the Compliance and Technology Charge, please contact your usual engagement partner or client service team.
